For Sponge

  • All-purpose Flour 350 g
  • Dry Yeast 2.3 tsp
  • Plain Water 275 g
  • Sugar 20 g

For Pizza Minced Pork

For Dough

  1. For Sponge

    • Sift the flour in a mixing bowl. Set aside.
    • Mix water with sugar, yeast and stir to dissolve. Add mixture to the flour and knead until smooth. Let rest for 30–40 minutes until the sponge rise double its size.
  2. For Pizza Minced Pork

    • Mix minced pork with lard and add KNORR SELECTIONS Ready-to-Use Rich Pizza Sauce, KNORR SELECTIONS Oyster Flavoured Sauce, pepper, light soy sauce, sugar, oregano, egg white and corn flour. Knead the mixture together to combine. Marinade in the fridge for 1–2 hours.
    • Divide the pizza minced pork into 35 grams each. Put mozzarella ball into the middle and wrap into small balls. Set aside.
  3. For Dough

    • Sift the flour with bread improver and BEST FOODS Baking Powder Double Acting Formula together into a mixing bowl.
    • Mix S.P. with water to combine.
    • Mix sponge with sugar, salt, sifted flour mixture and S.P mixture together just to combine. Add shortening and knead until the dough is smooth. Let rest for 5 minutes.
    • Cut the dough into small pieces of 40 grams. Roll the dough into small balls. Let rest for 5 minutes. Put prepared Pizza Minced Pork into the center of the dough and wrap the filling by pinching the top neatly. Let rest to rise double its size. Steam the buns for 12 minutes. Remove from heat and serve while hot.
