AI Chat and AI Services Terms of Use

Please read these terms of use ("Terms") carefully before engaging with AI Chat, AI Generated Content and AI Services. The purpose of these Terms is to inform users about the limitations and usage guidelines of UFS AI Chat, AI Generated Content and AI Services ("AI Services") provided by "Unilever PLC/Unilever Thailand" ("we", "us"). The user ("you", "your") is the person who uses AI Services. These Terms apply in addition to the UFS general website terms and conditions, and in the event of any conflict, these Terms shall apply to the extent of such conflict.

By accessing and interacting with AI Services, you agree to enter into these Terms with us in relation to your use of AI Services and the information you share with them. If you do not agree to these Terms, please refrain from using AI Services.

General Information

AI Services are powered by enterprise-grade artificial intelligence models that have been fine-tuned using Unilever information. They are designed to provide you with personalized advice and recommendations related to our products and services. The information provided by AI Services is intended for general guidance purposes only and is not intended to be comprehensive, nor does it constitute legal, financial or professional advice.

Registration

To register an account for the use of AI Services, you must provide accurate and complete information. You must not share your account access credentials or make your account available to other persons, and you are responsible for all activities carried out using your account.

Age Requirements

The use of AI Services is intended for persons over 18 years of age. If you are under 18 years of age (or under the age of majority in your country of residence), you may use AI Services only under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Terms and agrees to assume full responsibility for the minor’s acts or omissions in connection with the use of AI Services.

Content

You may provide input to any AI Services ("Input") and receive output from AI Services based on the Input ("Output"). Input and Output are collectively referred to as "Content". You are responsible for Content, including ensuring that it does not violate any applicable law or these Terms. You represent and warrant that you have all rights, licences and permissions necessary to provide Input to AI Services.

As between you and UFS, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, you (a) retain your ownership rights in Input and (b) own the Output (excluding other users’ Output). You acknowledge that Output does not grant you any rights to the underlying AI models, training data or proprietary datasets used to generate the Output. We may use your Content worldwide to provide, maintain, develop and improve our services, comply with applicable law, enforce our terms and policies, and maintain the safety of our services.

Usage Rights

You agree to use AI Services for their intended purposes, namely to receive personalized advice and recommendations, including recommendations regarding our products and services, and not to use AI Services for any unlawful, harmful or abusive activities, such as: (1) sending or sharing abusive, defamatory, offensive, intimidating, unlawful, racist, discriminatory, obscene, harmful or inappropriate content in any form; (2) conducting unlawful or immoral activities; (3) attempting to compromise the security of AI Services or our website, access our confidential information or otherwise interfere with our services; (4) copying, distributing, modifying, reverse engineering, decompiling or attempting to obtain the source code of AI Services or any part thereof; (5) using AI Services in a manner that infringes, misappropriates or violates any person’s rights; (6) automatically or programmatically extracting data or output from AI Services based on your Input; or (7) claiming that Output was created by a human when this is not the case.

Accuracy

The field of generative artificial intelligence is developing rapidly. Given the probabilistic nature of the technology used, the use of our AI Services may sometimes generate Output that does not accurately reflect real people, places or facts. When using our AI Services, you understand and agree that: (1) Output may not always be accurate, and therefore you should not rely on Output as the sole source of truth or as factually accurate information, or as a substitute for professional advice; (2) before using or sharing Output, you must evaluate the accuracy and suitability of the Output for your use case, including human review where appropriate; (3) you must not use any Output relating to a person for any purpose that could have a legal or material impact on that person, such as making decisions relating to credit, education, employment, housing, insurance, legal, medical or other important decisions about them; and (4) our AI Services may provide incomplete, incorrect or offensive Output that does not reflect the views of UFS. If Output refers to any third-party product or service, this does not mean that the third party endorses it or is affiliated with UFS.

Third Parties

AI Services may rely on third-party technology service providers that provide the underlying AI model capabilities that we integrate into our systems. These service providers may change over time, and we do not disclose or guarantee the specific service providers used at any given time.

By using AI Services, you also agree to comply with any applicable acceptable use rules or policies required by the third-party AI technology service providers that power these Services.

AI Services may also provide links to other websites operated by third parties. These links are provided solely for your convenience, and we are not responsible for their use, effect or content.

Availability

These AI Services are provided on an "as is" and "where is" basis. We expressly reserve the right to change, add or delete individual or all AI Services functionalities without prior notice, or to temporarily or permanently discontinue AI Services, and we provide no guarantee of uninterrupted availability of AI Services.

Data Privacy

When interacting with AI Services, please do not share your personal data. If you share personal data, by using our AI Services you confirm that you have read our Privacy Policy (Privacy Notice — Unilever Legal) and agree that we may collect, store and share your personal data with third-party service providers for the purpose of providing AI Services. By using AI Services, you also consent to the monitoring and storage of interactions for safety, security and service improvement purposes.

Although we strive to provide accurate information through AI Services, we cannot guarantee the accuracy and/or completeness of the information provided. AI Services may sometimes provide inaccurate information, so we recommend that you verify any information provided by AI Services before taking any action or making any decisions based on the information received. We make no declarations, representations, warranties or guarantees regarding the availability, suitability, continuity, reliability, accuracy, currency or security of these AI Services or the information they provide. We, our officers, directors, employees, affiliates and representatives assume no liability for the information provided and cannot be held liable for any actions, losses or damages (whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or otherwise) arising from your use of AI Services.
